Face mask, face paint or nothing
 

i have always worn a mask, but find it to be a pain. do you all wear a mask, paint or dont bother? i am thinking of ditching that stuff this season.

If your a serious bowhunter you need to camo up and be scent free. I use a head net that slides over my head and covers my neck up and as I am sitting in my stand I pull it up over my nose and ears and the only thing showin is the whites of my eyes, and then I am looking at them through the slits and corners of my eyes. If you want to persue the game on their turf, then become part of the woods and disappear within it, cause if you get lazy, careless or impatient, its going to cost you, good luck.

If could easily cammo my eyes I would.

It seems that when they see or recognize your eyes - you are busted. No matter how scent free you are.

I agree with 121.

I wear a camo balaclava then my 3d head net over that.
I use a kisser button and cant feel it through the 3d head net so instead of exposing my face to anchor the thin balaclava hides my face.

I agree with you (a pain) but I still use a net type mask. The only reason I never went to camo paint is that the mask also prevents ticks, spiders and mosquitoes from getting to my face.

Spando flage I cut small slits for the eyes works great for me.

I use a headnet.....use to use the paint but found it to be a bigger pain than the headnet.

I use a head mask, I have read that predators are easily identified by prey due to their eyes. The only exposure I have is my eyes and if it wasn't for a net hindering my vision I would use one.

Peronally, I like to use face makeup. I have found that the paint is too hard to get off and gets a little shiney. I have moved to makeup a few years back and have found it to work extremely well, even in rain. Here is a link to the company that I use:
