RE: Face mask, face paint or nothing
I use a headnet with a pretty good sized opening around the eyes. I like the big opening because it doesn't cut down on my peripheral vision. And since this leaves quite a bit of my face exposed I use the camo face paint to cover what's exposed. I do the majority of my hunting from the ground & want to blend in as best I can.

121553-(Bobby), sounds like Mr. Logic to me , and I do the same.
The best of luck in all your hunting endeavors!!!

I use face paint sometimes cause I just can't seem to shoot good with a net on. This yr I grew a beard so I don't use any paint on my face. I wear a scentlok hood that I slit the sides on so I can expose my ears. I basically wear it like a bacalava with my face and ears exposed but neck and head are covered.

If you are a serious bowhunter......blah blah
I don't wear a headnet, because I hunt from a stand. No movement is important to me. If I used a ground blind, probably, if I ever go that route.

I use a headnet with a pretty good size opening because I wear glasses. Also, it's crucial against mosquitos. Earlier I replied to a post about my encounter with a doe and a spike while on the ground. I stood 10 yds away, in the open, with full camo and they never saw me. It was the coolest thing, ever.

Duckbill you brought up one of the advantages of head/face gear, SKEETERS!!!! I love to hear them buzzing around trying to find a juicy bit of me to bite.

I've had the bow string catch on the mask and screw up my shot. I'm more comfortable with the paint. It's just a pain to wash off at the end of the day.

To camo the whites of you eyes, try some liver toxins. Jaundice will make your peepers the color of a Fall beech leaf. Just kidding of course - no law suits, please.

I've been using a Spando-Flage headcover this year. Too bad I didn't try one sooner. It works great. I can feel my anchor points just like I'm shooting with nothing on. I used to use camo paint, but found it annoying that every time I scratched or itched, that crap was all over me.
