how long do your batteries usually last before they need replacing?

Also how cold is it when the pictures are being taken. Mine kills batteries very very fast if it gets colder than about -7 or 8 Celcius. Is it warm in the pictures?

my moultrie 200 3.1 sucks and im taking it back. the flash doesnt work out of the box and i walked past it like 5 times before it took a picture of me. very disappointed in it. all the options it offers and it simply cant take the picture. got 11 photos all at night and they're all black. somehow without using a flash and taking no more than 11 pictures it also managed to completely drain an energizer 6volt battery. yep the big square ones. im gonna exchange it for another and if it sucks too im going to put forth the extra cash for the cuddeback
I gotta ask the obvious question, what setting do you have the flash on? There is a setting for auto or off. If it is set to off, obviously it won't work. I have one of the 200s and I think it is an awesome cam for $150. The trigger time is slow but you can work around that. I also have a Cuddeback 3MP but I don't think it's worth $250 more. Try a recahrgeable battery and solar panel. Our last for months on end.

The temps have been in the low 30's or so, I expect it would last less if it was colder. I have the flash set on auto on mine also. I am guessing that on my current settings the battery would last approx 2.5 weeks or longer. I can not wait to get home and see what else pops up.
