New baby is finally home

I finally picked up my new hunting bow. What will you guys be shooting this fall?

As of right now my hunting setup will be...

BowTech Tribute
70# 29 inch draw length with the speed mods.
Sure Loc Sidewinder 5 pin sight
Carbon Impact Quatro stabilizer or the Simms S-Coil
Gold Tip Pro Hunter arrows with Blazer vanes and Slick Tricks
BowTech 4 arrow 2 piece quiver
Still debating on what rest to use though

This baby is sizzling my 370 grain hunting arrows at 313 FPS at 70.5 pounds with my 29 inch DL with the speed mods. Not quite as fast as my Allegiance but will suffice :D

Yes, I will use this for spots and thenas my hunting bow. I will use the Allegiance for my 3D bow. I feel more accurate with a lighter bow when shooting spots. I don't care for long ATA bows that much.

Shed I imbedded a pic hosted from photobucket into my original post. Not sure why you cant see it. Here is a direct link to the pic.[/align]

Sweet looking set up there Buckeye. I just bought a used 2005 Liberty and while it may be lacking a little speed it sure makes up for it in smoothness.

Have fun with your new rig.

Congratulations, boy or girl? Height, weight? Any names yet?

:D I couldn't resist. That is what I was expecting to see when I started to open this post.

Funny how bowhunters treat their equipment like children!

yeah i know the feeling. i'm shooting a 1979 Bear Polar Ltd. technically it's new to me. i've only had it for a few months so i'm happy. it's better than what i had before so it'll serve me for a while.

Well I just sold the Patriot, and have a 05' Allegiance now that will be my backup 3D bow and hunting bow. My 06' Constitution was supposed to ship out to me last Friday, hopefully it will be here in the next day or two so that I can post pics by the weekend. I can't wait for the Constitution to get here............practicing for spots with the allegiance @ 70lbs is killing me.

On a Vegas 3 spot face 450 round I shot a 432 w/ 20 x's the other night with the Allegiance and pins w/ a short stabilizer. I am hoping the Constitution w/ lense and long stabilizer helps meget into the low 440's.

Well, I'm jealous! I have promised myself I will wait until after our bow season is over Jan. 12th. before my LX gets traded for a Tribute:(. As soon as I shot one I knew it was the bow I had been looking for. Congrats on the sweet set upand good luck with it next season!

I really am considering the MZE for it. They have a new model coming out this year for the VFT limb configuration.

I am pulling for you Rick James it'll be here soon enough :)

Just got the same rig! LOVED my Switchback (and the 2 Mathews I had prior to the SB), but I finally HAD to make the move to BowTech. The Tribute is S-W-E-E-T!!!

I have a 29" draw length, too...and have it maxed out at 70.5 lbs. Speed modules and the QAD Ultra Rest w/the top bar cut off. Copper John Dead Nuts PRO sight.

My Axis ST 300 arrows weigh in at a hefty 440+ grains....and SCREAM at 286 fps!! I'm switching to 340's w/Blazer vanes (smaller and lighter), AND can cut 'em an extra inch or more shorter now. Looking forward to 300ish on the ol' chrono! The best part.......NO VIBRATION AT ALL!! Quiet, fast, well...you know.

Gonna go bust some boars this February!!

Congrats!
