Does anyone know of this monster?
This buck was found dead in the weldon river near Leon, Iowa. The fellow holding the rack used to work for me but now I have no contact. I was hoping to know the final score on this giant. I heard the buck died of blue tounge around 1999. Super large Buck! sorry about photo it went through washing machine. Any info is appreciated, I heard it scored 274+ but not confirmed.

Blue tounge is caused by flies and from what I understand causes the deer to go to water and die. Iowa and northern missouri got a dose of it in the late 90-'s. I was lucky in my area of Missouri that I never found any dead, so it passed and now no more cases. I did hear of groups of deer dead on ponds in north Missouri.
