Where in Iowa?

I amhoping to hunt Iowa next year, I already have a preferece point so I should get drawn.

Does anyone know of some good places to hunt good bucks?

I would like to do a semi-guided hunt type of thing where atlest one person that lives close to the area can assist with the land layout and deer pattern questions.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks.

HT

Hightine,

I hunted Iowa in 2004 andhunted public land. Im not sure what zone your applying for but 1 point is going to be tough to draw a tag, I looked over the draw odds last year.

If you want to shoot me a email I can help you out with some things.

I live in Iowa and can't even shoot a deer on the private ground I have access to. I am obviously not any help to anyone at this point in my bow hunting experience. :)

I agree one point probably won't get you in...I have 3. Most land is private but there are some good public areas depending on the zone.

Hey guys if you're looking for a hunt in Iowa check out my site www.oldriveroutfitters.com We are in Appanoose county (southeast Iowa). Very reasonable rates compared to most places.
