Default Turkey Broadheads

I was wondering if I can just use my Slick Trick 100's on Turkey... I don't want to go out and buy new broadheads unless I have to... Will I do too much meat damage? Thanks!!!

You won't do a lot of damage, but you will zip right through the bird. You will most definetly kill him, but ideally you would like for the arrow to stay in the bird, the theory being he can't fly off. Maybe you can put an adder behind the head to keep penetration down, or, just not worry about it. It'll do the job just fine.

That lil' ST isn't going to do to much damge that's for sure. It will slice a nice clean hole right through the bird and keep right on going. It will work fine. However, that being said, I would MUCH rather prefer to shoot a large cutting mech head that will not only inflict more damage but will probabaly knock the bird off it's feet and hopefully penetration will be limited. I have never found a better b-head than a Rocket Slammerhead 90 or a Rocket Hammerhead 100. Both are exceptional tukey thumpers. Which model I shoot depends on wether or not I have to shoot through Double Bull mesh or not. Best of luck this spring!

I can't see how a mechanical broadhead will make much of a difference in terms of stopping power? Also the slick tricks have a larger diameter I beleive than the Rockets (1.25") also they have four blades... Maybe I am confused...

The slick trick will power right through the bird without stopping. A large mechanical will eat KE opening and probably not go all the way through, the idea being, as I stated earlier, for the arrow to stay in the bird.
