A buck was recently in the area!:D
I'm sorry I couldn't resist. You have come in to an area where a buck is still a little frisky. If you see a cluster of rubs that are fresh that is reason for excitement,he very possibly wil be back.If it is part of a new rub line follow it and see where it is going (he)is going. If it is an isolated rub it still may be worth spending time in the area if you know the location holds doe's.The answer to those questions would dictate how or if the area should be hunted.

I don't think it means much. I've seen some late rubbing here in Mi. and have watched several does and a couple small bucks during december and as of yet, no interaction.
