Broadhead weight?
 

I was wondering how many grain broadheads you guys recomend? whether it is a heavey one or lighter one. right now i am shooting 100grains with about a 55lbs draw wieght and a 27 inch draw length. But it seems like broadheads keep getting heavier and heavier these days. i dont know if i should try the 125grains or not.

I've still got a couple of packages of Muzzy Matadors from the 80's- 160 gn 4 blade heads - thatcut huge holes in feral hogs. The broadheads I used most often were 145 gns. If broadheads are getting heavier, they've got a long way to go before they catch up with the past. ;)

As for choosing between 100 and 125 gn heads... That choiceshould be made solely on which weight shoots best on your arrows. Buy a few 125's and try them. If they shoot better for you, then make the switch. If they don't, then at least you know. If you don't see any difference at all, then you're free to use whichever are easier to find at the store. :D

Judging from what I see on here, the 100 grain BH's seem to be most popular. I have always shot the 125 grain BH's and continue to do so because I like the heavier FOC they provide. They fly great from my set-up, so of course I have no reason to change.
