RE: OPINION ON CROSSHAIR SIGHTS
I have one on a bow I hunted with all season last year & half this one. I liked it alot & am thinking about putting it on my new one. Seems to take less attention to center it in my peep than my new sight does. The new one has a round pin guard but my 20 yard pin is above center & sometimes I find myself centering the pin guard & not the pin in my peep. I'm gonna try raising the whole thing & lowering my pin & if that dont work I'll either swap sights or more likely get a new one. I only shoot out to 30 yards anyway hunting & with the old bow I could put the crosshair on the deers back & smoke them every time. This bows a little faster so I imagine holdover will be less. A nice thing about crosshair type sights when you hold over you have a verticle line to show where your arrow should fall.

RE: OPINION ON CROSSHAIR SIGHTS
I really like crosshair sights if they're thin enough. I currently use fiberoptic pins that cover too much of the target when practicing. Years ago I used several sets of cross hair sights, but I never found a set that was both thin enough AND strong enough . . . and in my price range.;)

JIMMY
if you dont mind can you tell me why you did not like the timberline sight. thanks |
RE: OPINION ON CROSSHAIR SIGHTS
I used the timberline sight too some years back and didn't like it. It was very touchy with the fiberoptic strips, if they got bumped by brush they would curve then you would have to let one side loose to get them to straighten back out. (I hope I am explaining it correctly). As far as shooting goes, I shot well with it. A little more durability and I would have kept it longer, ended up taking the crosshairs out and installing pins in it instead.
