Finally the Big Boy Shows himself! (Pics)
 

Back in August, I had a buck scouted out, on some land I hunt. I have over 30 pictures of him, but they were all back in August, when he was in velvet. But last night,I developed some film from a game camera, about 1 mile from where I last seen him, and finally get another picture of him. Luckily he made it through rifle season and is currently stay on a spot that only I have permission to bowhunt on. The picture isn't very good, and I didn't recognize him at first glance, on the picture. But once I started looking at shape of the tines on the right side, kickers of the right brow-tine, and big kicker on the left base, i'm 99% sure it's him. Here is the pic, hopefully I can get a better one, in the next month. From his body, I estimate him at 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 years old.

I'm done hunting bucks for the year. Just doe hunting left for me. I actually got a few pictures of 6 different bucks from the roll, 2-3 of which were pretty nice. Here's the points that match up. It wasn't until I started comparing pictures, until I realized it was the same deer.

UNBELIEVABLE! But your numbering on the pics makes no sense to me. It looks like you have everything backwards or something. If its not the same deer (I think it is) who cares....both are giants

On the numbering, I was marking each number as the same point. Example, Tine #1 matches the Tine #1 on the other picture, and so on.

First thing I picked up was the kickers on the Brow tines. Same deer. Absolutely huge, great buck. Good luck on getting him when he is bigger next year.

Looks like him to me, thats great hes still there. Fingers crossed for next year. Just curious what did you manage to take this year with antlers that you are now only doe hunting?

I arrowed a 120 class buck this year. It's wasn't a big trophy in means of size, but it was in feeling successful. I've been wanting to arrow a deer in the plains, with nothing but a buck, myself and yucku plants and sage brush between us. It was felt like a great sense of accomplishment and nothing felt better than getting the double-lunger like that. Besides isn't the challege, what bowhunting is all about...

Here are a few other pictures I developed yesterday, of some younger bucks. There is probably a herd of 20-25 that stay in a 30 acre patch of timber. And it's the thickest timber around for miles. And since it's not rifle hunted the deer usually winter there. Here are a few other pics. Looks like there are a few nice gobblers there as well!

The pictures were from a cheap Stealth Cam. They do the job though...

Funny thing is that back in August, my father watch this buck grazing in the field, 3 different times. Each time it was with another buck which was bigger than this one. (Bigger Frame anyways - supposevily a 12pt frame, wider, and1 droptine lower than hisear) I have yet to see him or get pictures though. It's amazing how smart the big ones get once season comes around, especially when there isn't a lot of big timber to begin with. I still have the camera's down there, so we'll see. Knowing there are 2 nice bucks like that is encouraging for next season.

You've done your homework!!! I would say you are 100% sure it is him, hard to mistake that one even if you didn't get a clear pic of him. Good luck hunting him down next year!!!!
