what to do

well i went out tonight, and was up in my stand for about an hour when a 13 point, with a droptine walks out at 150 yards..i blew on all my grunt tubes (3) at different times, and he wouldnt respond, he was HUGE.Does anyone have a suggestion on what i could do to get him to come in since he was in a bean field and there is no where to move my stand.

I agree with coyote on this one. He will obviously not respond to an audible call, you'll have to draw him in by his nose. A little doe pee goes a long way. Play the wind.

Good luck

Here is the best I can do for ya #1 DON'T get real worked up and do some thing dumb.#2 Don't just start blowin and blowin a grunt tube Don't soak the woods down with a gallon a doe piss. The best thing I can say is watch him for a couple of evenings and see what trails he is using to get to the field. Then set up on him if he is out of range give him a grunt or 2 but don't sit there and blow on your grunt tubes every 30 seconds your just gona spook him and teach him what the game is. If you go with urine use regular doe urine or a curosity scent until the rut. personaly I don't like scent until the rut. I see you live in ohio I live in pa. and our rut is usualy starting in about the first week of november and it should be the same for you. Me personaly I like to wait until closer to the rut to use scent. wait him out set up a stand according to the wind and take your time you don't spook a trophy like him. Keep us posted and if ya get him post a pic good luck I hope ya bag him.

Well the rut is still a few weeks away so a mature buck is not likely to respond to aggresive calling at this time of the season. Not here in Ohio anyway. I would have tried a few soft social grunts, and then maybe some light rattling with a rattle bag. This time of year you can trigger a buck's curiosity and sometimes get him to come and investigate. You mentioned being on the edge of a bean field. That may have been the problem. When calling to a buck if there is no thick cover by you or a terrain break that would affect a deer's line of sight, it can be nearly impossible to get him to come without a decoy. If a deer hears a grunt, but can look and see no deer, he usually won't come. Something to keep in mind when considering wether to call to a buck or not. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck, I hope you get him as it sounds like he is a "Whopper!"

I agree with buckeye, try a little light ratting next time you see him. If that doesn't work you may have to move closer and hunt off the ground and hope he uses the same trail. Good luck!

A decoy could do the trick. I have one with small antlers and the bigger deer seem to want to pick on it.
