First Morning hunt's results
-Arrive to my tree at 6:00.
-Climbed and sitting waiting for light at 6:15.
-Squirrel in my tree making water fall all over me. 6:30 - 7:15.
-6 does at 45 yards enter a thicket- no shot. 8:10.
-17" 8 point wanders to what I guess at 28 yards. I put my 25 yard pin a tad high and release. He's as good as dead...if he was 28 yards away instead of 34. Man, I'm rusty on the yardage judgements on wild game. Luckily, it was a clean miss (I was going for heart anyway), and he wasnt spooked. He did not hear my bow, and did not see me. He just continued to go on his way, but this time I knew better than to try and shoot again. I just didnt have a clear lane, and didnt have the confidence to take a shot longer than 30 yards, so he's still out there for another day. Taking lunch break now, going to head back out at 2:00pm and try my luck again. I LOVE HUNTING SEASON
