For you that do not know[8D]. This is in reference to a turkey that I killed with my bow one hunting day after season ended.

I got a call from the game warden this morning b/c he had my paperwork. He met me in my apartment building parking lot to explain a few things to me. I recieved a summons awaiting my appearance in court in the county where the incident occured. My court date is Jan. 24, 2006.

He told me that the "worst worst worst" that could happen would be for me to pay a $500 replacement fee for the turkey. He said that would not happen. I am looking at 8 hours of community service and 6 months probation. He said thats better than this going on my record. I agreed. He told me that I should be fine and told me again that I did the right thing.

We talked for a few minutes and I even showed my buck pics that I got this year to him. He has to be one of the nicest law enforcement officials I have ever met, no matter the circumstances.

I just wanted to give you guys an update. My final update will be near the end of January. Wish me luck guys and thanks for all the support from my previous posts.
