release head freezing up....

The jaws on my TRU tornado are not opening when the trigger is pulled back when I am outside shooting in the near zero weather.

Is there anything I can put on the jaw mech. to keep it from freezing????

Get some acetone and clean out the old oil and stuff from inside the works. Then lube the release with Tetra Lube or some other non-petroleum, teflon basedlubricant.

I would use a teflon or silicon based lube. Also, what about car door lock de-icers? Maybe this would work.
