second rut is on!?
 

this morning i got in my stand and as i was pulling my bow up i heard some noise. about 40 yards away a doe is moving along out of a woodlot and across a feild. 15 yards later a fork is moving right behind her with its nose practically dragging on the ground. this is the most rut action ive seen this year in southern wis. hooray! its too bad it was only 530 and its not legal to shoot until 650. around madison where i hunt the light reflects off the snow and gives you an all night long orange hue that is easy to see in. i hope all the deer arent moving mostly nocturnally due to it.

Here in North Central MN our second rut is over! Time to hunt the food plots again

Hope you guys have better luck in late season but where I hunt if you have not gotten a decent buck by Thanksgiving you can pretty much forget it[:@]Good luck

Saw a huge 8 chasing does in Northeast Ohio just Wednesday. 3rd biggest buck I've seen all year! Of course I was in my Truck at the time coming home from work!:(

im pretty sure the buck ive been hunting all season is still around. havent seen him in a month but ive seen his rubs and tracks.only 25 days left but i will be able to hunt whenever i want. but im also trying to make my goose tag get more slits in it as that ends in 8 days. after goose is over ill be in my stand til i get him though.
