Default Groundblind and pictures!

Took youngman to the woods and therewere no trees so built this groundblind and one and half hour later we were in tow with doe headed to the freezer. Had good acorn tree 26yds in front just raining acorns. Its always fun to help young hunters. Here are the pictures- http://www.whitetailcentral.com/DanCs.htm

Thanks for taking the time to hunt with the kids. Regradless of the size the kid will have something to think about the next time they get the chance to go hunting.

Congrats on the doe, and the ground blind looked nice to. It's great to see people introducing young folks to the outdoors, keep up the good work.

I can't see the pics for some reason, but as to the size issue, the smaller they are the harder they are to hit. Tell the lad congrats on his deer and for a great shot!!! My uncle always told me, "There's more space around them than there is to them."

Here in Okla. a big doe is 100lbs. This doe weighed 70lbs. Regardless we are trying to thin them out. You guys up north are spoiled! Im headed to Illinois this year, they get bigger there.

Congrats on the doe.

We've got the same size does here in NE and I also took one just the other day to start filling the freezer. Field dressed, head off, and legs off at the knees she weighed just 65 lb. Just trying to help the local farmers with their deer problem. Game and Parks are giving out a lot of antlerless permits to specific areas that have high head counts.

Hey Okbwhtr who told you that deer in Illinois are big??? We don't have large deer here. Most don't get over 60 lbs. I'd stay home and hunt those OK. deer

Seriously though, in the minds of a young bowhunter size doesn't matter. I remember my first kill like it was yesterday. My father picked it up by the rear and the nape of the neck and threw it across a steep creek bank. Now that was small, but to me at the time it was a P&Y! Congrats to the laddie on his deer.
