Don't get me wrong, an archery kill is an archery kill. I just had to chuckle as that doe looked like about a 10 day old fawn here in Alberta. Keep our heritage with the children, take them hunting!

Congrats! I wish you could have taught me how to build a ground blind when I started out. That is a masterpiece!

Went back to ground blind and I am amazed that they work so good. Nothing like deer standing right in front of you at ten ft. I had scent suit on and Im sure that had some thing to do with it. I will be trying this again. I could have shot atleast seven does. I could see the ticks n the deer!

I may be spoiled, seeing the big deer here in Alberta, but man o man that doe is small. Good huntin though. Way to go guys.

I guess guys that since your deer are so big they must be easier to see and shoot? Why don't you guess go ahead and say his mother is ugly too! Geez. Over here in OKC its the same as over in Muskogee. Thats a fair sized doe. Whats the name for the effect of the animals being bigger the further north they are? Sounds like there is a compensatory effect with manners as well? They get worse as your animals get bigger?

Any deer you kill with a bow is a dead deer.

Hey, size may not matter but it sure IS nice!

Nice ground blind. We use them quite often, and I do like being close!

It is great that you are taking the time to share the experience with the young ones - Thanks!

Nothin' better than getting the young ones out in the field and Passin' it On. I couldn't open the pics, but i'm here to tell you, I've killed a lot of 100 lb doe that tasted like they went 250!! Keep up the good work!

Nice deer. Wish my father hunted with me when I was that age. Thinking on taking my 5 year old son out but right now he can't sit still for a second (wired). Keep hunting still 3 more bow tags left.

Good job on the doe, blind and the site. Good to hear you are gtting the younger generation involved in hunting. They are our future, we will have to look to them to feed us when we can no longer pull the bow.
Nothing wrong with the size of that doe, I just got a 100 lber last thur and it taste great..

The best of luck in all your hunting endeavors!!!

God Bless,
Dave

man that is an awsome ground blind,I build a few each year and enjoy hunting them.

tell the young hunter "He Done Did Good" congrats.
And congrats to you for taking him thats what it's all about. that doe will be good eating,no matter the size.

I have taken two bucks with the bow this year one was 109lbs. the other was 121lbs. so I guess they were "LITTLE" too.

any deer a hunter is proud of is a true "BIG" Trophy to them!!!!

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.
