Wow, i never realise that it could cause such damage. The place he got hit is one of the strongest parts of the skull, and the bow was not fully drawn?
I wonder what a full power mechanical broadhead would do. Better penetration in the thick bone structure and it would expand inside his brain cavity.
The guy is indeed lucky to survive.
If this subjest has been discussed ad nasea i appologize, but i was suprissed by the power.

Has there ever been penetration test done like in handgun bullets regarding stopping power and penetration depth of broadheads?

We can only speculate on why he was where he was when the arrow
let go. I'm not a doctor or a CSI...But I am staying at a Holiday Inn express;)
