Too Many Law!

Laws are designed to protect people from other people (murder for example) or to establish order (traffic laws.) Too many laws are being passed now that are designed to protect people from themselves (seat belts).

You wouldnt get the upport anyway. Seatbelt nd helmet laws are lobbied by the big insurance and health care companies in order to reduce their liability spending. You may get some big health insurance companies to back you, but there jut isnt enoough tree stand hunters to make a case.

I wear a setbelt, a helmet and full leathers, and a harness because I choose too. I dont think they should be laws.

We deffinately dont need a safety harness law! I wear a harness in my hang ons and in my climber, dont wear them in my ladder stand or in my gun stand which is enclosed by 3 walls and a safety rail/gun rest. I feel real comfortable in my ladder stand with out one so it doesnt bother me at all. But as soon as I climb on to my hang ons, thats the first thing I do is put my safety harness on before I even sit down. Of corse I have one full body harness that has quick release that I wear into and out of the woods, makes it less hectic and alot safer.

Freedom of choice! It's thoughtful to be concerned of others but hunters can make their own decision.
