Questions...
Hey folks, couple questions for people who know more about this stuff than I do. I am going to get my wife bow, her first. It will be a Browning Micro Adrenaline. She is going to be shooting around 45# at a 26" draw length. I was wondering what a good broadhead would be for that weight. I shoot Slick Tricks and really like them, but with the severe angle of the blades, I was thinking there may not be enough energy with her bow to get the same penetration that I am getting with mine. I want to stick with a fixed blade head. She likes the NAP Crossfires "becuase they are pretty with the dimples in the ferrule." If anyone has any input, let me know. Thanks!

RE: Questions...
the slick tricks should work. Muzzy's, Magnus Stinger are all great heads.

RE: Questions...
I would use a CUT on CONTACT head.. Like the stingers.. You'll get better penetration with the lower KE levels she will be shooting.

RE: Questions...
I don't think you will have any problems with the Slick Tricks on deer sized game. But if you are not confident in them, maybe look at a cut on contact like Magnus.

RE: Questions...
some Muzzy 90 grains at Cabelas.com might be a little light for that kind of bow but it'll get the job done, just make sure to have a stabilizer for those kinds of broadheads

RE: Questions...
Take a look at the "Whackem" 100's cut on contacts/puncture combo concept. This is the head my brother put on his wives bow. They fly extremely well.

RE: Questions...
avoid chisel point tips, they need more kinetic energy.
you will get better penetration with a cut on contact broadhead like the stingers. my son shoots 85 grain stingers. he hasn't taken an animal yet, but they shoot well. hookset |
RE: Questions...
My wife shoots basically the same set up and she shoots crimson talons, with her setup they fly flatter than her field pts. consistently hitting 3 inches higher

RE: Questions...
something light and with a cut on contact blade.
