The decoy should give him an extra 50 bonus inches.

RE: Interesting Trail Cam Pic

a guy i live with said that the guy that got this picture on his camera is a friend of his and sent him that picture a few weeks ago. the guy said that he went out to get his camera at 12:30 in the afternoon. when he got there he had to search all over, eventually finding his decoy underneath a pine tree nearby. the picture was taken at 12:03 p.m., only 27 minutes before he went out to get the camera. crazy.

Please excuse my ignorance since I've never used a trail cam before but...

Wouldn't the motion sensor set off the camera as the buck approaches then wait for a few minutes before taking another picture? If this is indeed how trail cams work then I don't get how the camera didn't only catch the buck just as helowershis rack to attack. At the point where he digs into the decoy with the upstroke, the camera would already be at rest. This is why I wondered if it was a photoshop.
Some cheaper cameras have a very slow trigger time, My mourie has like a 15 second delay before it actually snap's the picture.
