Leaf River Trail cam--Too slow?

I have a Leaf River digital trail cam that I bought this summer and the stupid thing is so slooooooow. I've tried tweaking the adjustments but to no avail. I walked slowly straight at it from 40 yards and it never even took my picture! Every time that I check it, at least half of the pics are empty. Sure wish that I would have gotten a Cuddeback!

Cuddebacks are the fastest camera on the market.

I've has the same problem with mine. You have to have it set up just right on the trail for it to work. Mine is usually set up on a scrape or on our feeding area in the offseason.

Trigger time on the new leaf river cams made after July I believe is 2 seconds compared to about 6 from the older models (Cuddeback is less than 1 second). I have some great pictures with my 6 second trigger time camera, but usually put it on bait or a scrape. I have areas baited specifically for cameras that I don't even hunt.

Mine takes an eternity too. I sent mine back and they said it was a faulty power cord. Not it "supposedly" fires in 3.5-4 secs according to factory. A deer can still make it a long way in 4 secs.!!!!

I have mine on a scrape.

Thats true but only after the first picture. First pic..4-6 seconds and then every two seconds after that. I had one.....sent it back for a refund.
