Do trail cams spook deer?

RE: Do trail cams spook deer?
You know, I think maybe they do. Here's why. I put a camera out the beginning of October. Now, in the first spot I put it, I got 6 pictures of some does, not all the same deer, in like 3 days. Then, nothing in a week. I moved the camera, and same thing. Got 4 pictures, a buck 2 times, and a doe 2 times. Then, nothing for over a week. Moved the camera again. Same thing all over again. Got a few pictures in a day or two, then nothing for over a week.
Besides that, of the 20 pictures total that I got, 15 of them were stopped and looking behind them. Now, I just think the chances 15 deer stopping in front of the camera is just....well.....highly unlikely in this case since the camera was on a trail and not over corn or some other attractant. I honestly believe the deer heard something before the shutter snapped. I also believe that the flash or noise of the camera spooked them off. Now, maybe if I leave the camera in the same spot the deer will be conditioned to it and perhaps it won't bother them. I am going to find out.
