RE: women that hunt
I'd say if you find one, hang on to her! Not too many thatI know and I sure can't get my wife out in the woods. If you find a gal you like and she likes to hunt, she probably won't nag you too much if you want to go hunting. I just can't seem to think of any negative things about it, unless you don't want a hunting parnter.

RE: women that hunt
Come to the U.P. of Michigan, there are lots that hunt up this way.. I found mine (wife)7 yrs ago.. I got lucky, cuz she's not missing any teeth, or have any bones in her hair, Nor has she ever been on the Springer show.lol She a gorgeous young woman (26), mother off 1, soon to be 2 and a college student. She likes to hunt, just not as much as i do. I think she does it more to spend quality time with me doing something i LOVE...

My g/friend hunts fishes traps you name it she will do it with me. On the flip side my hunting and other outdoor activities used to be my escape from my significant other now she is there all the time! It could be worse, she could be at home nagging. Just be carefull not to create a monster. I cant get out the house without her anymore. She naggs if she cant go!

My wife started bowhunting with me.
The only draw back to this is that is cost doubles! Oh well, I gusee she could be going out the the clubs when I am hunting. Instead she is in the woods with me...laffs If you find one stay with her. |
RE: women that hunt
I used to think that way too. But I've come to conclusion that you don't want to date/marry a girl who loves to hunt or fish. Hunting and Fishing is a great opportunity to bull$hit with your buddies, drink beer, talk about when you used to play football, good fights, the good parties, other chicks, etc. If your spouse hunts to, now all those good times are shot, because you willbe 'the guy who always brings his wife'. The perfect kind of girl to find is one who doesn't like to hunt or fish, but her dad loves it (that's what I found). This way, she was raised with her dad always hunting and fishing, and now he expects it. So she won't nag (or not as often) when you go hunting because that's how she was raised.

RE: women that hunt
I associate none of the above items to hunting, so I wouldn't mind dating someone that hunts. As a matter of fact my girlfriend seems to be warming up to the idea.
If you do the hunting camp thing with a bunch of buddies and your more interested in the social aspects of it then it would probably be a drag. That is not the kind of hunting I do though. The hardest part would be finding a place both of us could hunt. I have enough trouble find a place for me to hunt. I think I am going to start her off on small game hunting. She doesn't mind fishing either. Paul |
RE: women that hunt
Im in the process of trying to get my girlfriend to hunt. I had the same girlfriend all through highschool and it was easy to get her to hunt. She loved it and not to mention her dad owned 600 acres. We split up when we went to college. Now Im working on this girl Ive been with for 2 years. She will go squirrel hunting with me, she wont carry a gun but shell go sit with me. She also is excited when I kill a deer, she always wants to go track it with me. So hopefully shell finally give in and start shooting a bow.
