Anyone else addicted?
I can't stop thinking about bowhunting! Last week I grazed a buck, the arrow got deflected. Now I can't wait to get out there again! I was telling a non-hunter friend of mine about bowhunting. I told her it is the greatest, highs and lows all season. Sometimes I wish I had a less frustrating obession, but I love bowhunting! Every deer I tag just intensifys the desire. Even just being out in the woods just is great!

My wife rolls her eyes at me all year! I subscribe to every bowhunting mag I find , I shoot at least three times a week all year long and when season starts she could get a better conversation out of our dog unless she's talkin about bowhunting

Oh yes. I don't even try to explain it to non-bowhunters. I just invite them to try it.
I tell my wife about the deer, squirrels and foxes I see. I talk about the tracks I find, the sound of falling acorns, the deer moving to new bedding areas, the rut activity ... every day hunting is an experience.

Hell I haven't even tried it yet, just the preparation to go bowhunting is driving my wife nuts.
Our season starts in 5 days and it is all I talk about currently. If the actual hunting is as interesting as the scouting it is going to be great. I have been able to spend some quality outdoors for the first time since I was in the service and it is great.

Yeh, right, sure, this is a joke .... RIGHT? Why would I want to stop thinking about hunting. I've been doing it for 50 years. Besides that, it's one thing I'm fairly good at. AND, no one can find me out there. It's not an illness... I see it as a reward.
