Calls not workin!!!
 

i have tried rattlein with a rattlein bag, ive tried doe bleats, estrous bleats, buck grunts, tendin grunts and even a few fawn bleats and have had nothin come in to them. Am i doin somthin wrong or what. i have seen 4 different buck on the property we is huntin but most are small (6points or less) and have seen a couple nice bucks, but none of them have even responed to a call, had a my dad had a huge bodied 4 point near him the other evenin and called me on the radio to try a few doe bleats, so i did usin the "can" and my dad said that he only looked my waybut hejust went on his merryway is somethin im doin or is it just pointless to do on the property i hunt. Please help!

Same thing happened to me last year. Just stick with it, what goes around comes around and persistance works.

Calls can be very weird sometimes but ive found that using scent to corresspond with your calls can actually work alot better. Also this sounds kinda weird but when i rattle i look around to make sure there are no deer around and then i climb down from my stand and stop around and shake little trees while rattling then i jump back up in my stand really fast. It has been working really well for me. And since you mentioned your hunting with your dad you should try sittin down wind of him and having him rattle. good luck
