Snyper Pic....

This is the Snyper taken out of the cerviacal vertebrate of a coyote....I wish I had video tape to prove this tis the truth but this is the best I've got....

On a side note, here's a picture of the results of a Monday morning coyote hunt. The middle dog was shot with a bow right behind the shoulder and traveled 60 yards and then expired. (Just for reference, that is about 3 times as far as the coyotes discussed in the Snyper topic) The other 2 dogs were taken with a 22-250.

CG are my eyes deceiving me or is the ferrule bent? I was under the impression that just the cut on contact blade bent , which I could see happening. In any case , that head is FUBAR big time.

Yeah the ferrule is bent right where it is notched out to take the blade. The base of the "u" is where the other Snyper failed on the elk.

Amazing, CG! I believe you; it's just amazing that a mid-size dog's neck can bend a ferrule like that. Wonder if Rocky Mt had a weak batch of aluminum or something?

I have a clone of that one in my basement. As I mentioned before it has been through a deer twice. The first time through the rib cage with no apparent damage. The second time it hit heavy bone and curved the ferrule over like the one in your photo.
