Corn Question!?!?!

So i was out hunting the afternoon and the farmer decided it was time to cut the corn, kinda ruined the hunt, but here is my question.

He only took the cobs and left the rest in the feild to make silage later, anywho. Do you think the corn is better standing or down?? I know it provides cover and food source standing, but will it make the deer use the woods more?

I also hunt in a strip of woods that i about 200 yards across that is cut in half by a large creek. I am current set up on a funnel where the deer typically cross the creek to go from field to feild. The farmer cut the last remaining corn and bean feild today. Do you think more action will come my way even if the corn and beans are now cut?

Thanks for any help, i am still new at this, so i am tryin to experiment and learn. I have been at it for 3 years and this is the first year i even saw a buck and got a shot off, but missed.

Thanks again

Having the corn cut will improve your hunting.

RE: Corn Question!?!?!

After the corn is cut will improve your odds. Last weekend I didin't see a damn thing while on stand. Then I figured out the reason why is that a certain farmer had not shelled the corn yet and the deer were holing up in the corn and/or the woods adjacent to it which where the deer usually funnel to and from where one of my best spots is. It has completely screwed things up for me....even still, after he shelled it this past week! I have not had a worse bow season yet....even since I started bow hunting! I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what's going to work and nothing has as of yet. To say the least, I'm a little frustated!!! Arrgggg!
