new to bowhunting need help w/ bow

well let me start off with a hello everybody. i am new to the bowhunting world and live ina hunters paradise.....Alaska. i am looking at buying a bow for all around hunts. Both black and brown bear, moose, and some predators. Any good suggestions for a good all around bow? i was leaning towards a the PSE Firestorm or the Parker Extreme Ultralite 31. Any suggestions would be great. thanks

I just bought a new Hoyt UltraMag. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

First off, I'd just like to see that you are a lucky bastard. I'm going to move to Alaska some day just so I can hunt brown bears without having to pay $16,000 to do so. But I've had a PSE for 2 years now and that is one durable bow. I haven't had to do anything to it except for sight it in and it has worked perfectly.

Just shot a new Hoyt Trykon, I was amazed. It is the smoothiest bow I have ever shot. I currently have a PSE but will soon be changing to the Hoyt. PSE is a good bow but if you can afford it go with a Hoyt.

you're not the first person to say that! This will be my first hunting season here and first on the agenda is spring black bear. So far Hoyt, Browning, PSE and others have been reccommended. I guess personal preferance will prevail. I think I'll hit up Sportsmans Warehouse this weekend and spend all day test firing. Keep suggestions coming though.

I don't know how much of a difference there'll be between the Browning and PSE bows since Browning bows are made by PSE.
