Just Venting!!!
 

This season has just been rough...For the first time since I started bowhunting I can't figure it out. I just haven't been able to find the deer. By this time last year, My log book says that I had seen over 200 deer (I'm sure some were the same deer several times) and had 52 shot opportunites. This year I have had 2 shot opps and I have seen probably 30 deer all season.

That being said does anyone else think that this HUGE acorn drop this year has affected normal deer movement and patterns or is it just me?

POSSIBLE, IT WOULD REDUCE THEIR NEED TO MOVE AROUND FOR FOOD BUT I THINK THE REAL PROB IS THE STINKN HEAT WAVE WERE HAVING, THE BUCKS ARE REALLY STARTING TO CHASE NOW, MOST OF MY ACTIVITY HAS BEEN BETWEEN 8:30 AND 9:30 BUT I SAW A BIG BUCK RUN THROUGH MY YARD TODAY AT HIGH NOON

Just keep after it brother. I know a fellow Kansan will never give up. The next week the big boys will be showing up and cold air is on the way so stay the course.
