my first bow

I love mu reflex buckskin. This bow is fast and forgiving. Put some alphashox and some string leeches and you are good to go. You know the quality is there cause they are made by hoyt. I ended up with bow, sights, quiver, broadheads, arrows, and stabilizer for less than 500 bucks.

I shoot a Mathews and love it. I have friends that Ihunt with that shoot PSE, Hoyt, Jennings and Darton. They all like their bows. I would goto a archery shop and draw a few back. You want a smooth draw and a comfortable grip. I would try to stay with a single cam.

I have an AR34 (Archery Research). Its got the Calm and a half. I shot other bows like Mathews, Hoyts, Martins, PSE's. My AR34 shoots just as well as the rest. I think all the bows they make these days are all damn good.
I reccomend you go down to a store with bows, esepcially one that has an indoor shooting range. Then they will let you try what you want, and you can see what fits you best.

I really like my new Hoyt UltraMag, but I agree with the rest of the posts....go check some out and see what you like. I've only shot PSE and Hoyt, but I'm new to bowhunting and don't know much about how to pick the best bow. I just found one that I like and was within my budget. I'd highly recommend a Hoyt though.

Best advice is go to a pro shop and see what FEELS right to you. This will also insure the bow fits you and is set up properly for YOU.
Sportsman22....I believe the AR's have Ram and a half cams, and I also believe they're a division of PSE.

You have to ask yourself a question, Bow hunting is just that . do you want to be a hi tec hunter or a traditional bow hunter. there is nothing wrong with eaither but you should shoot all the bows you can. Go to the pro shops and shoot them they will set you up right. don't go cheep. you are buying something that is going to take a life. Personally I like the trad end of it but I also have training wheels.
