Whats the best way?

This is my second year of hunting, and my first year of bow hunting.
Last season I hunted what I would call a heavily wooded area with very little open fields. This year I have been invited to hunt on 1500 acres of cropland. The owner grows red& green peppers, squash, eggplant, jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins, watermelons, and a little corn. The land is basically flatland with 4 or 5 small streams running through it bordered on the back side by a small river. The streams are wooded on each side. Each is about 20 - 30 yds wide while the river bed is more heavily wooded. The owner says the deer avoid the river due to a higher number of coyotes there. The last two mornings I have spooked the deer as I try to get in my stand set up in one of the thin sections of woods bordering a stream. I guess my question is how would you hunt thinly wooded open cropland with a bow?
Any help would be greatly appreciated by this newby bowhunter.

I'd concentrate my efforts on hunting in the afternoons when you can get into position without spooking the deer.

Ground blind comes to mind--if the trees don't give you enough cover to break up your outline maybe ground blind would work?just a thought.
