i shot him but.....
 

:(:(:(:(i shot him...the biggest buck in the whole woods.....i got him about six inches behind the front should and i think it hit a rib or the shoulder because it didn't go through him... i watched him run for a little ways and then stop to look what happened.....he looked at his side and saw the arrow and bolted........i looked for the past 2 hours....nothing....i have to go to work now...should i look for him tomorrow? how far can they go on a gut shot with the arrow still in him? first year hunting.....

and there is no blood..... i don't kow what to do this was my first deer with a bow

Tomorrow go to the last place you saw him and look for blood sign. He probably won't go far as long as you didn't spook him today. He will lay down and die.

Before this gets out of hand, please read this post here for the best advice on trailing a wounded animal. Let him lay overnight, then try to pick up the trail tomorrow. With a little bit of luck, some patience, and some help from family or friends you should be able to find your deer.
