Buying a bow
OK, Even though I have not taken, or even shot at a deer I am hooked on bowhunting. I will be buying a new bow in the spring. I do nott want to spend 649.00 on a switchback (even though they are SWEEEET) ANy suggestions on a medium priced, good shooting, quiet bow? I wsa thinking about a bowtech, but dont know for sure.
Besides my wife almost kicked me in the twins when she saw the price of the switchback. I am most comfortablw with my twins not being swollen. LOL Tommy |
RE: Buying a bow
In the spring you should be able to get a used Switchback for approx $4 - 500

RE: Buying a bow
buy a quality bow because i bought a cheaper package bow and hunted for one season and then went to mathews. you buy a quality bow and get what you pay for.....just my two cents

RE: Buying a bow
I just bought a Hoyt UltraMag. I was in the same situation it sounds like. I wanted a new bow, but could afford any of the Mathews bows. I shot a Switchback and thought it was great, but after shopping around I found a great deal on a Hoyt. I got it and love it. I only shot the Mathews Switchback a couple of times, but I think the Hoyt UltraMag shots just about as smoth and quite and is a lot easier on the pocket book. It brought me some luck too, got my first deer with a bow 9 days after buying it!!! Good luck.
