Almost gave up!

last night, at last light....a big doe finally ended the field i was hunting. She came in almost right under my stand and offered me a broadside shot at like 5-7 yards. I watched her run off and grunted a few times and finally got her to stop about 50 yards out. I wasn't sure where i hit but i was sure that the shot was good. i started trailing her after about 45 minutes and found the blood trail to where she had stopped in the field. The trail only went for another 20 yards into the woods. The blood was bright red and it was thick, almost like slime puddled up on a leaf. After that I found no blood, so i started doing bigger circles around the last blood and still nothing. So i came back this morning at first light and continued to do my circling. I looked for about 2.5 hours and had not found anything. Finally i did one last ditch effort and circled down to one point turned around and was going to head back to the truck. all of a sudden I saw the white belly on the ground. IT WAS HER! she stopped bleeding after 60 yards from the shot and I found her about300 yards from where i shot her. There was no blood for last 240 yards but I found her. I was so excited to see her! i hit the one lung, i think the liver and the front of the stomach. so for all of you who lose blood and can't find the deer, just keep looking cause you never know what you may find. :D
