RE: Wasting Deer Meat???

Bg, I totally agree with you. Knock of wood, I haven't lost a deer yet but it is almost bound to happen in a lifetime of hunting. I have been on several unsuccessful tracking searches and seen hunters who were really upset about the deer going to waste. I have a cousin who always says, "they coyotes and the buzzards, have to eat too." It used to rub me kind of wrong until I really thought about it. He's right.

As bad as we feel, we can always rest assured that some of God's other creatures are going to be eating good at our expense.

Great post Bg.

I agree with everyone so far. I think every effort ought to be made to recover the animal, and the shot shouldn't be taken unless the shooter is confident that it will be a quick and humane kill. I think that most of the bad views come from the anti's that hunters are just a bunch of want to be rednecks out shooting and killing anything that moves. That's not ture but they are on the outside looking in for fault to stop us from doing something they choose not to do.
Just my opinion

Yea, all of that is true, but I don't believe that the buzzards, and Coyotes where put on earth to clean up bowhunter's mistakes. JMHO.

Know your abilties well my friends and stay within them, but I know crap still happens.

I gotta agree with bob but we ARE a part of the circle of life, as cheesy as it sounds.

I steer clear of ethic type pissing matches myself<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>. I'm outta here. That's my 2 cents. I had to chime in anyway huh?
