For building such a safe and reliable stand,as it came in handy yesterday. At the 25 foot level,my foot climber was tilting down badly.I needed to get to the 30 foot level,to utlize some overhanging green foliage, for cover.I know that i should have descended the tree to make the adjustment, but in my haste,i decided to make the adjustment while in the air.Well,I lost the Cable, and the foot platform fell and swung freely under the stand.Im thinking O GREAT!Long story short after about 10 minutes of trying Gymnastic move's that i havent practiced in many year's,I got the foot platform back on the tree, and adjusted to let me go the extra few feet.I was actually hanging under the platform, with my feet under the side of the Cable bar upright's,and the platform never budged.I dont recomend anyone to try this, but it's a great feeling to know that it can, should the need arise. Note I was wearing a Chest restraint!

I also love the SUMMIT STANDS!
but you are leaving out the underwear company too!
It should read something like....
"THANKS TO HANES UNDERWEAR FOR DESIGNING GREAT UNDERWEAR, AS I CRAPPED ALL OVER MYSELF IN FRIGHT AS I WAS HANGING FROM MY TREESTAND."
LOL glad to hear that you are ok!
thank goodness you didn't hang yourself doing the gymnastics while wearing your safety harness.

Yeah, I don't think Will or any of the gang at Summit'll be able to use this one for a commercial!
But, you're right; they do make one incredibly solid stand, don't they?
I was appreciating their design myself just a couple days ago while in my Cobra XLS about twenty feet or so when the wind whipped up all around me. It's always amazing to me when I start to descend the tree how I have to literally yank the stand off the tree because it bites into the bark so well.
Discipline -- not desire -- determines destiny.
