screwed up again last night
 

I got to the truck early so i decided to sneak around the corner and see if any deer were in the lane....Well i snuck around and there was a very large six looking me in the face at 20 yards....guess what i didnt bring my bow....then to make thing worse he walked to 15 and turned broadside.....i was kinda disapointed he had no idea i was there and i could of had a shot.

I myself learned this lesson with the exact same results last year. I can promise you that it won't happen again though.

Kinda like he KNEW you didn't have your bow with you and was taunting you!
Lesson learned... and it's all part of hunting, and another reason I love it so much!

YUP... you just never know. A couple years ago Len put on a little push to me in my stand. Then he laid his bow down against a tree to catch mine when I lowered it. He carried it over and laid it beside the same tree about 7 yards away. I get to the ground and we're talking about the AM hunt as I bundle up my climber. I look up to see a very nice 8 pointer walking straight at us from about 25 yards. We can't move. He veirs off and walks by us. Len scampers for his bow but by this time the buck is past us going away at a nice leisurely walk. Got to keep that bow in grabbing distance.[:'(][:'(]

You just know that if you did have your bow he wouldn't have been there...

Man, I hate it when that happens. I try to always carry a weapon with me whenever I do things like that. My dad told me once and it kinds stuck with me "Boy, you aint gonna kill anything with a rock.".. What a great orater my father was. LOL
