First time in sixteen years I stayed home on opening weekend. Got home after work friday night started loading my atv and broke out in a sweat. Put my 4-wheeler up, got on the couch and turned on the outdoor channel. My wife fainted, my dogs are pissed and I think I need a help.

I've been deer hunting for 30 years and I still wont miss opening day of bow season unless it was simply terrible weather. I dont hunt as much as I did that many years ago but by the time deer season rolls around every year I am pumped and ready to go. You better get yourself checked out, bud!!

Ok I think i am coming around. Got all my gear ready for next weekend. Talked to my hunting buddie, he said there was a nice buck by my stand Sat. morning when he came out of the woods.

I've been so busy with this new farm, last chance I had to get tags before opener, a new piece of equipment showed up, I spent the rest of the day playing with that, guess what? I woke up opening day with out tags. Next year!
