my theory on scents and noise

My experience with scents and noise in the woods is different then everything I read about.I hunt from the ground and during bow I just find a spot and sit (down wind).During shotgun I walk around like I would walking down a street ,my theory is if you make them nervous they will be spooked but if you walk like your not a threat there more likily to just stand there and look at you and then you can take your shot.As far as scents go if your down wind there not gonna smell you but if your upwind any smell from your body, cloths, boots, mouth, etc. will make them nervous or curious to what'around them.Every year I get a deer and I don't do anything special, but that's just me.so good luck hunting, and if your not gonna eat it, don't kill it!!!!!!!!

RE: my theory on scents and noise

My wife says that she thinks I play too much of the scent game. I've always taken caution to make sure I was scent free.
Then I get my brother in law that grabs his dirty ole cover alls out of the barn, goes out and shoots at something whether it be a deer or a moose He seems to to have more shot opportunities than me! Maybe it's just a case of being luckily in the right place at the right time!
Just a thought!
