Jabba the hut with antlers.
It might be possible that it is a northern Canada deer. About 400 lbs with a very rut swollen next.
I would like the facts on it, its gotta be world record heaviest deer.
I wonder what it sounded like when it crashed? Or if it knocked over any pines on the way?

The story I heard on this deer was that it was shot near Markesan, WI last fall during rifle season. Allegedly it had an arrow wound through the guts that wasn't completely healed and intestinal gases were leaking between the hide and the muscle of the deer causing it to bloat.

A few people have said they saw an article w/photos in an issue of the Wisconsin Outdoor Journal, but I've yet to actually confirm anything.

Looks like something is not normal with that deer. If it is a real pic, then there has to be some type of infection or problem with it, for swelling an bloating like that. The rut itself won't produce a neck of that size. You can even see an abnormal lump on the left side of the neck of the deer.

I was told a story by a elderly gentleman here in Western Iowa about a deer they got back in the 60's. He said they had a gear box off a wagon and hung it from one end and by it's head and stood the gear box up and the butt hit the ground. He told me that the deer weighed a little over 400 lbs with it's guts in it. I kinda wanted to dismiss it but this fella is not the kind of guy to tell stories. The ground it was taken on has a abundance of food and water so who knows. He said he had a picture somewhere, when I see him I will try to get it or a copy.

I've seen the pic before. It's real. It was wounded like stated above and air is trapped under the skin giving it a bloated look.
