Crimson Croc destroyed by shoulder hit.

These are pics of a Crimson Croc that hit a bucks shoulder the other day. My buddy shot him and from his story he said that the deer barely reacted to the shot at all and the arrow just "fell off" him as he kept walking. He hopped when he got hit and just kept right on walking.

We found no blood, no deer, no sign, no nothing.

I liked these heads.......and frankly almost bought them this year. My brother and friend are shooting them and they fly great and look really nice. After seeing this performance I will surely never buy them. Thankfully I stuck with my Stingers.

Here is a new Croc.

Here is what it looks like now.

Looks awfully flimsy up front for a dead on shoulder hit. No head will penetrate a joint shot, but that head just disintegrated.

Those NY button bucks have steel plated shoulder blades! Don't blame it on the broad head!:D;)

Looks like it broke exactly where the weak spots appear to be.
Damn shame.

I tested these heads and the damage shown is identical to that caused by the steel drum tests. The heads "look cool" but are just not made well at all.

Why anyone would shoot ANY broadhead made by Crimson is beyond me. Report after report tells us that they are trash.

This just goes to show you what good advertising can do for a poor product. How could anyone put outa poorproduct like this beyond me. If everyone would ignore the advertising hype and just the notion to try something newwe would all be shooting Muzzy's and broadhead failure would be a thing of the past! ;)

I shot a 144 pound Texas deer directly through the shoulder with a muzzy. I never found the broadhead because the shaft broke when it was slung out. I did get about 1 foot of penetration and the deer went about twenty yards and crashed. I was shooting gold tips at 275fps with 100gr muzzys.

Could have gotten a 6 pack of Muzzy or Thunderheads for the same price and they'd have performed better.

As I've said before ... I have some Crimson broadheads and I wouldn't even consider using them on any big game. Maybe turkey or small game though.
