I have just started using the Cuddeback and it is awesome. Just beware that this will be addictive and you will probally want to have more than one. My expert advise to you would be to do the logical thing and quit school and buy yourself some cameras. Just kidding about the school idea, but do get a camera ASAP, money well spent.

I bought a moultree at Wally World for $97. Takes descent pictures. Not anything I'd blowup and use for my wallpaper or anything, but definately clear enough to identify. You can download with USB or use flash memory cards and swap them out. either way, not bad for seeing what's moving through the area.

You ask what problems did I have with my Stealth Cam. Well most of my pictures are blanks which is probably a deer that has walked by my camera and all I ever getis the back hoof of a deer that walked past the camera or the backside of a deer or nothing at all. Ive watched deer feed on cornfrom 5 to 10 feet from the camera for more than 1 hour before, and not a picture. Sometimes I can set it up and walk back and forth in front of it from 5 feet and it rarely takes a picture. My co-worker bought one and has complained about the same exact problems.If you want a $400 camera thats 2 months old I'll sell it for $150.

I think it's great to have a trail cam, and it's definitely a necessity if you love the outdoors! Going digital is going to be more expensive, but I would suggest to start out w/ a reg. camera and work your way up...see how you like how everything works!

yep. i think i would start jus wanting to set up the camera in lots of spots. i got a neighbor that i let put up a tree stand in this one spot were i know theres a couple big bucks. and he put up a digital trail cam. so hes saposta show me the pics. but hes only going to hunt there once and not til later in the season so he said that theres another tree stand on my land that im free to use. and he said hes glad he has one. i am just curious to see exactly what kind deer will be on that camera. i seen a couple big ones when i combined that barley feild next to the belt. but i got lots of other places were there are big bucks. prob do me good to have one.

I have had two of these trailcams: a $ 100 stealth from cabelas and a $ 100.00moultrie from walmart. I have to agree with the rest and do not recomend the stealth. I takes forever to take a picture.

I have no problems with the unit from walmart. It is not a quick as the cuddeyback but if you throw a mineral block, corn, etc...it will slow the deer down long enough to get the shot. Also, I am not comfortable with leaving 350.00 worth of equipment where I hunt. There are a lot of trespasser on my property that would steal anything they could get there hands on.

My buddy got a cheap 35mm film one from Walmart. Works fine. I think that they are worth having IF they work.

I concur though with so many others......Digital Stealth Cam is JUNK! Eats batteries like a fat baby eats cookies! I put out a 40 lb bag of corn in front of the camera. Corn is now all gone. I got 1 picture of nothing, and 6 AA dead batteries every 2 days. I HATE MINE! Not even worth the batteries!

It's a bad camera. I had a friend who got one that did that. Take it back and get it replaced.

Moultries are ok. I am having better luck placing them parallel to a trail instead of perpindicular. It gives the camera more time to sense the deer.
I have some pics but it says the file is to large and I can't compress them under 100 kb any suggestions. They are just barely over and zipping them doesn't gain me anything.

Here are some pics from the moultrie. Not to bad for 100 bucks. If the cameras walk off 100 bucks is alot better than 400.
