strange lookin bow....

Has anyone shot this bow?

I've seen that somewhere before...maybe on here. I think it's a concept bow as of now. Maybe somebody else can shed some more light on it.

How can you see through the peep with the tube in the way?

I think I'd rather shoot a crossbow than that thing, at least a crossbow looks more like a bow than that.........thing. You might as well put a rest on a slingshot and shoot an arrow with that......

I shot one the other day, it shoots very fast but is a little bit diferent.:D Lots of hand shock, and you just dont feel like you are shooting a bow. It is very very hard to hold steady, but people are buying them.

People will buy anything. Take cough mufflers and gumoflage for instance...;)

Wouldn't it actually be a "de-tooter" ?
If you do come up with a working model be sure to contact Double Creek , I hear he's in the market for one if it's of the insertable variety ... ;)

I'd buy one in a second (if I was a gangbanger looking to put more challenge into the usual drive-by)!

I have seen it about 10 different times on here but it is still the dumbest looking bow I have ever seen. You would probably kill a lot of big bucks with it though because they would be on the ground rolling around laughing at you.

I believe it's called the "Liberty" orsomething like that. I saw it in a magazine my maintence guy brought in to work last week. It's funky looking, but I hear it hastested very effectively. I prefer my Browning Rage, I love it, but it would come in handy in a small ground blind I imagine. Lot less to carry through the woods too. I suppose it's just a matter of time before the knock-offs start. I think it retails for about $700-800. It's only 18" tall, we got our ruler out and measured out 18", we were in utter astonishment at it's petite design. Rather ugly in my opinion, but modern technology doesn't have to look good to be effective.

Buck Huntin Girl is right it's a Liberty bow.
They proclaim speeds of around 320fps!!
It's a split limb bow that you actualy shoot through the top limbs!!
kinda wierd though, but i'm shure that was the reponse when the first compound came out.
Smaller bows seem harder to shoot, ballance and all.

Yes shot one at my local shop a couple months ago. I did not like it. It has ALOT of hand shock. I think it is a piece of $&#t. If you ftorque you wrist at all you can't see the pins. It was VERY fast though, but thats never been a big selling point to me for a hunting bow. Plus it just looks too weird. I'll stick with my mathews thank you very much.

All you wanted to know is right here (and probably more that you don't): http://www.libertyarchery.com/

Supposedly designed as a backpacking bow. Whatever.

I have to admit...I am intrigued with the concept....needs some improvement though.

I must say, that "bow" is thought provoking. Maybe the designer had one to many??

Yes I have. I don't like it. It takes a lot to get used to. It feels the thing is going to jump out of your hand when you draw it.

It is very fast but for me was very hard to shoot

Once someone start shooting one....and start winning at 3D or spots....other archers will follow. It's a bit expensive I find.

That's a full 8" shorter than the prod on a Horton Explorer crossbow![:-]

A fart muffler? Where's the fun in that?:D

Better idea , make a pill that hunters can take that will make our farts smell like a doe-n-heat. Then all we have to do is practice making our farts sound like buck grunts. I'm half way there already.

Watch it now, I've already got a patent on my scent free butt plug...... To help it stay in place, just try some chewed gumaflauge.....[:-]

I find it ironic that everyone who actually shot ones complains mostly of the hand shock but at the top of their website in big red letters it says NO Hand Shock LOL. Gee...let me ponder that a minute...OK, I believe the people who actually shot it:D:D

RE: strange lookin bow....

It's made by Liberty Archery. Personally I can't see the point. Notice in the picture the guy is leaning back (too long a draw) and has to tuck his head down to get into the string. Very bad form.

The A2A on the bow is 20".
