Activity in central illinois
 

Its hot during the day and bright at night. Is anyone seeing much activity? What about the pre rut stuff? I have found several scrape and rub lines, but haven't been able to find the makers yet

It is too hot for them to be moving before day light.I am seeing more action in the mornings then I am any other time.They are out at the coolest part of the night.I havent been getting the results on calling as I usually do so the Pre Rut hasnt cstarted just yet.I think we have about 2 more weeks until it starts.

it hasn't been great not as much as i expected too bright out. my better spot is on the edge of a corn field nothing for 1 1/2 weeks we can see it from our house. hopefully it will pick up as the full moon passes.

Hey Ill hunters, I have been waiting for 3 years to get to go to Ill to hunt and finally someone backed out and mynumber came up We are going to a place near Vermont Ill. Anyone ever hunt around there. If so how is the Hunting. and weather this time of the year.

no pre-rut right now, but have seen about 8 scrapes by some stands i have hung. buddy and i already got our first buck out of the way this season. first night of the first weekend i saw 8 bucks and then 20 does or so. plus many other deer up to now.

Activity has been pretty slow. I have found several scrapes though. Just waiting for the temp. to drop a little during the day and for the full moon to pass!

Just about the same here, there are signs that they are moving, but the weather and moon is preventing them from moving while i'm out there.

We got our wish, its suppost to be a tad colder for the next couple of weeks. Pre Rut should kick in real soon, maybe middle of next week, they are talking about highs in the high 40's and low 50's, and lows at night around the high 20's to low 30's.
