IF you had too
I know you should NOT take a shot at a deer with these but if you HAD to which one would you choose over the other. Your family is starving and you only have a field point and an old dull broadhead which flies perfect. Which would you choose first?

RE: IF you had too
Whats the condition of the Broadhead and Field Tip? Is the Broadhead in New condition and just dull? or is it used and dull?
|
RE: IF you had too
Neither.
I don't think this topic should even be considered on this forum. We have enough people talking about bad shot selections and not following proper tracking techniques. |
RE: IF you had too
I'd sharpen the old dull broad head.

RE: IF you had too
What Charlie P said. There's no excuse for shooting a dull broadhead. If someone's too lazy to sharpen a broadhead, then I can understand why his family is starving.[>:];)

RE: IF you had too
Yea sounds like some inbreeding going on in that family any way. Let them starve.
|
RE: IF you had too
my answer would be neither...you owe it to the critter to be prepared.
|
RE: IF you had too
Neither, sell the bow and buy some mac & cheese.
|
RE: IF you had too
Gotta go with Arthur on this one- You know your family is starving and you still don't sharpen your broadhead? Looks like the Darwin Award is coming your way. Seriously, if your family is starving you need to be working not hunting. And people can give me all the lines they want to, but if you really want to WORK and not just show up for a paycheck, you can find a job. Too lazy to sharpen broadhead = to lazy to work = thats why your family is starving.

Niether.....you shouldn't be hunting if you don't have the correct equipment.
|
RE: IF you had too
Neither. But if you really, really, really had to I would say the broadhead. Field points aren't legal in IL.

RE: IF you had too
what kind of a worthless question is this? if you can't do it right don't do it at all. against the law to use a field tip on deer if you can't figure out how to sharpen a broadhead get rid of the bow and get out of bowhunting. good grief where is that bad post inform the mod icon???
|
RE: IF you had too
I agree. If you can't do it right, get the right stuff to do it right!!
|
RE: IF you had too
LOL!!! That's a good one...
Honestly, this is a weird poll. 96% so far said to go with a dull broadhead. I can understand that because under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you use a field tip for hunting!! A dull broadhead can always be sharpened up. |
RE: IF you had too
OK OK this wasnt a very good post I KNOW I was just woundering what ppl would do if they was ever in this situation.
|
RE: IF you had too
I would be out trying to rustle me a cattle not trying to kill a deer with sub par equipment!:D
|
RE: IF you had too
I'll never be in that situation, If I can't sharpen a broadhead I will quit bowhunting and so should you.
worthless post why don't you delete it???? |
RE: IF you had too
So what are you doing to do with the deer after you shoot it. If you dont have the ability to sharpen a broadhead, should I assume the knife is dull also?
