Nice buck lurking by my house (pic)
I was watching 2 bucks this past Jan-Mar coming through my 1 acre of woods about 50 yards from the house. One was a 6 and the other was a main frame 8 with 3 stickers. I think this guy is that bigger buck. I have never shot a true trophy yet. What do you think? Should I take him for my team (team 2) or let him grow another year? He would be a nice trophy for me, but I know he will live another year unless a car gets him. No one else hunts around here because of all the houses. What do you think he would score?

thats a nice deer i would take it i guess only because ive never shot one that big yet but its really your call if hes a nice trophy for you take it for yourself not for the team! I sure would be happy just seeing that buck let alone shooting it.Good luck with whatever decision you make.

I would say that he is a low to mid 130's class buck and would definately make pope and young wich is 125. I think he is probably 3.5 yrs old. Because you have never shot one this big before I would probably take him If you are that confident you can. There is no reason to pass on bucks like this for bigger ones when you havent got one like this yet.

My assumption is he is around 125 gross not net. I doubt he would make book. He is a 5x4 it appears. ThatG4 on the left side wouldnot count. To take him or notis up to you. Nice deer.
