When to change stands

Last night I got discovered by 2 does. One was at 10' while the other behind me. They eyed me over for ten minutes. As the one turned away I raised my bow. Bingo the second one cought the motion and off they were.[&o]

What do you think caould the stand still be productive or should I move since they discovered my location.

yes those arent the only 2 deer in the area so the stand can still be productive but sounds like you need to get higher up in the tree.

Hi sneekkey

I'm 14' up and already worried I fall out of the tree (even so I wear the harness). I'm new to tree stand hunting so tried to stay seated.

Do you think that there memory is short enough that the 2 might return?

I usually put up 3-6 stands in different areas and alternate them with the wind as a factor. I try to not sit in the same stand 2 nights in a row to keep them fresh.

I wouldnt worry about them too much. If it was one particular buck you were after then maybe I would be concerned but otherwise I think you are fine.
