My buddy calls me up and tells me he had his scent lok suit stored in a garbage bag. His fiance threw the garbage bag out with the other garbage.. She thought it was garbage..

How sad is that? I kinda have to laugh..lol, sorry Brian..

Maybe these guys willall pitch in and buy you a knew suit..

I actually thought of that the other day. My scent block suit was in a garbage bag in the garage, im soooo glad my mom or dad didn't throw it out. Im sorry for your friend, but now he gets to get a new one. Tell him to check out the Scent Blocker Dream Season suit. It IS AWESOME

BTW a trash bag is not the place to store any hunting gear let alone scent lock.

Ever notice how you can smell old trash even when the bag is tied? That's because grabage bads aren't scent proof ;)

I am sorry your buddy got his stuff thrown out, I know it is expensive. My wife and I once threw out a complete crib set because we stored it in a black plastic garbage bag. I stopped storing anything in garbage bags after that.

You think that's bad, probably 10 years ago or more, my mom was having a garage sale and sold a Browning (I believe it was a browning) recurve to a guy for $10. My dad wasn't around, but he had the bow on the garage wall and he never shot it. Well the guy that bought it I'm sure knew he was ripping my mom off.

I spoke too soon. My wife threw out my ziploc bag filled with scents last night as she thought it was garbage. Her exact words were something like "It smelled so bad I just assumed you forgot to throw it out".

See this is where guys are different. We'll actually look into an unsealedgarbage bag before throwing it out, maybe there will be something in there we can still use, or something that smells so bad we want to see if it makes us sick. You know, kind of like how we sit around and sniff deer lure....

I'm not chipping in to get him a new suit, a new, smarter woman maybe, :Dbut not a suit...

Tell him to throw away a couple pairs of her shoes to even the score. If she's like all the woman I've known, she's got about 40 pairs stashed away in 40 different locations in the house...

I'm the guilty party here......or at least my fiance is. Thankfully the only thing I store in garbage bags now is her :)

But seriously, I learned a good lesson here and she offered to buy me brand new gear so the only bad thing about this entire situation is that I have to wait a week or so until she gets paid.

This is only the 2nd time she's taken out the garbage in almost 2 years. Just my luck. Thanks for the comments guys,many of them actually made me laugh. And thanks to my buddy Brad (mathewsboy) for grinding the knife :)

If finances are tight enough that she has to wait until payday to buy new scentlok gear, hunt the wind correctly with regular camo's. Scentlok stuff is great if it gives you the confidence to stay out there hunting more, but not great enough to spend all that money on if she's livin' paycheck to paycheck.
....Or, I guess you could just rent her out a time or two to recoup your investment[8D]

LOL! My husband would KILL me if I did something like that!! I know one thing, I would NEVER live it down. I had accidentally washed my husband's phone one time, the joke between him and his work crew now is always "is your phone dirty? Steph will wash it for ya..." :eek:

We all do stupid stuff, and I can't say as I would look in a trash bag before I pitched it, but you can kinda tell the difference between what a bag full of trash sounds like opposed to what a bag full of clothing sounds like.

I am sorry you lost all of your nice clothes, we had our ScentLok stolen along with my bow and my husband's Parker Mag last year... right out of our garage, had to buy all new. As you can imagine, Christmas was all about hunting supplies last year.
